ISLAMABAD: The Senate unanimously rejected on Tuesday the special screening of Pakistani travellers at US airports.
Winding up a debate on the issue, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ammad Malik said Pakistan had conveyed its reservations to American authorities. He recalled that President Asif Ali Zardari had informed the special US envoy for Pakistan and Afghanistan, Richard Holbrooke, of Pakistan’s concerns.
Mr Holbrooke, he said, had assured the president that he would urge his government to review the policy.
